Slaw is a brand new plant-based restaurant in Islington.

Slaw’s most basic aim is to make plant-based food accessible to all, and they hope to do this through balanced, tasty and textural plant-based food.  Their ethos is to produce healthy food in a sustainable and ethical way, whilst reducing their carbon footprint and minimizing food waste.

Slaw's laid-back vibe is what completely complements the food. The vegan restaurant is tucked away on the Upper Street in Angel. It’s a narrow space, but the savvy layout and friendly, attentive staff ensure complete comfort. Admittedly, the expertly curated wine list may help as well.

At Slaw, there’s no jackfruit or seitan masquerading as meat found here. All the dishes ensure that vegetables are in the front and center. Such dedication to vegetables hardly matters if such dishes don't deliver on taste, and at Slaw, they most certainly do.

Their designer menu is decadent, different and eloquent, and they suggest a minimum of two dishes per person (though you can never go wrong with more.)

Slaw’s menu includes mushrooms dressed in cauliflower puree, red quinoa, and salsa, roasted carrots with hummus, spiced cauliflower with flaked almonds and mint dressing, asparagus with crushed peas and beetroot in cucumber raita.

They also offer a selection of sweet dishes as well as vegan beers and wines, soft drinks and coffee and tea.

Be sure to grab your friends, family, or just yourself and head on over to this quaint establishment for out of this world vegetables.
