Welcome to Holy Cow in Edinburgh, a 100% Vegan and Dog-Friendly café in the heart of the city serving sandwiches, burgers, soups and salads. The café is small, situated in a bright, airy basement next to the Edinburgh bus station. It was established in 2016 by its founders Paula Wisniewska and Evelina Ciepiela and are proud to be part of the ever-growing vegan movement in Scotland.

As Holy Cow is a small establishment, they cannot take reservations but do offer a comfortable waiting area should the café be full to capacity.

All their burgers and some of their sandwiches are made with buckwheat bread which is a gluten-free product, suitable for those with intolerances. They cater for most allergies, but be sure to get in to touch with them about your unique needs, so they can ensure no cross contamination occurs.

Holy Cow uses seasonal and organic products in all their delicious vegan fare. They offer an assortment of burgers, sandwiches, salads, soups, smoothies and a delicious range of cakes (which they are famous for.) However, they change their menu quite regularly in accordance with the seasons and local produce available.

The Holy Cow café is also dog-friendly child-friendly and offer half portions to little ones.

They are open every day from 10am.
